1. Basic bodice block – womens woven (bespoke)

A basic bodice block is a pattern that fits the upper body closely and is used as a base to adapt into a multitude of shirt, blouse, jacket, corset and lingerie patterns.

The haute couture/ bespoke method uses tables, rulers and body measurement charts to construct a base pattern that is drawn to the model/ client’s exact body measurements and will fit her precicely, focussing on the correct bodyheight, waist and chest circumference, bust size and shape, shoulder width and armhole depth. (Basically all the old school stuff that couturiers use.)

After mastering this class students will be able to construct a basic bodice block pattern in less than 10 minutes.
